The girl is back! :)

I have missed this space greatly!

No need to waste time on the long story, so here's the short version.

In the past few weeks, I....

a) Finished uni.

b) Had a BLAST with my amazing friends in Cardiff.

c) Did A LOT of packing.

d) Moved back to Nigeria.

 I have been looking forward to moving back for ages but when I found myself with a few days to go, I wasn't such a happy bunny. I've left behind some people that I am going to miss terribly. Will look forward to seeing them every now and then in the future.

In other related news, I start Law School very soon. I'm on my way to becoming a Barrister. It won't be easy but by God's grace, I will get there.

Olympic Torch Relay

The Olympic flame passed through Cardiff today and shall party with us tonight before it leaves tomorrow.

I was only too glad to ditch the books for some sun and banter with friends.

The streets were packed as expected. Thankfully, it wasn't so bad right outside my house so I didn't have to travel far to get a good view. I guess most people preferred to wait at the final destination.

Knowing Cardiff people, tonight the town will be party central!

Some of us will be right here at our desks, memorising case law and what-not.

All the Pretty Birds

Hey hey! :)

Quick post while I take a break from studying...

I got this dress from a random store in Cardiff sometime last year. I'd rather not wear clothes that have animals 'drawn' on them but I saw this dress and the colours stole my heart. 

The birds are cute alright too.

In other news, we're back to my kind of weather...the only problem (evident in the photos) is the wind!

By the way, my lipstick is not THAT bright! Its just the setting I used to edit the photos. It kind of inflates the size of my lips too. *shrugs*

Just like candy

It's been a beautiful day so far. Church was lovely and the sun is out in full force. I tried to take some photos outside but it was way too windy. My hair was flying all over the place.

The title of the post was inspired by the shoes I have on. Its patent leather and in that shade of pink, it makes me think of candy.

Double Denim

 Rain, rain, go away!

With exams around the corner, things have been pretty quiet around here.

I'm usually home or at the library cramming as much information into this small head of mine as I can.

When I step out, I'm usually in jeans and a hoodie. It just seems appropriate for the weather and the exam season.

As expected, I got a few odd looks the first day I turned up at the law library dressed so casual.

*shrugs*

 Today I decided to weather the storm rain (pun intended) to have lunch with friends at one of our favourite places in the city centre. 

Mission Accomplished!

Rhian Jack at Afrogene!

Ok, so it has been a little over two months and I'm yet to see the 'official' videos from the Rhian Jack fashion shows (there were two) at Afrogene. All I've seen are photos from the 1st show (the ones I saw from the second show can't even be counted as relevant). I had nothing to do with contracting the people who are withholding these photos and videos (for whatever reason) so I've decided not to let all that negative energy get to me.

Shame...all that hard work and not much to show for it.

C'est la vie!

Moving on...someone was kind enough to get me a video that her friend took on her phone during the final show. It was an incomplete video but I made the most of it. If I ever see the 'official' photos, I will post them too.

Once again, I'd like to say a huge thank you to all my beautiful models! I really appreciate your support and I'm sure you had as much fun as I did prepping for Afrogene.

P.S: the models are my friends and not professionals (as far as I know. lol) so don't be expecting to see Naomi Campbell's twin or something!
