Robinson Crusoe

I'm back on the internet from wherever I disappeared to about a week ago!

Unfortunately, I haven't really felt like taking photos in the past week.

Here's the last bunch I took the night before I left Cardiff.

I went to the theatre to see 'Robinson Crusoe and the Caribbean pirates'.

I always enjoy the pantomimes I go to see in Cardiff. That is my favourite way to unwind or spend a quiet weekend.

I saw this skirt by chance, while searching for other items in Primark. It was on sale for £3! I immediately knew this baby was going home with me for sure.

Reptile Fierce

Hey guys!

I'm finally able to breathe for a bit before getting back to research and all the other very interesting things I do that concern uni (rrriigghhtt!).

I saw these leggings and was immediately drawn to them. They give me this reptile vibe and I feel 'fierce' in them!

In other news, the weather has left me feeling depressed as usual. I am seriously considering furthering my education on another continent. Winter and I just can't work things out. Today was pretty good though, hence the audacity to wear just a blazer.

Erm...yeah, I wore 'fierce' leggings and a spongebob watch. Don't judge me. :p

Santa Baby! *Take One*

Hey guys!

It's been a long week and I hope yours has been much better than mine.

At the top of my non-academic to-do list was to submit an entry for the 'Santa Baby' challenge on ForStyleSake and I have just submitted two entries. It's a fun challenge and I think some of you might be interested!

Basically, submit a photo (or photos) of you in a 'Christmas inspired outfit'. Check out the blog (follow the link above) for more info!

Meanwhile, here's my 1st entry...

Oh, and by the way, you guys should vote for me over there when it's time to vote for a winner. You're all I have o! (Awwww!) :D

The wise bits: 1.6

Although time seems to fly by, it never travels faster than one day at a time. Each day is a new opportunity to live your life to the fullest.

I know awesome people

...and for that I'm forever grateful.

I want to thank everyone that came down to Cardiff  for the weekend and all who came out on Friday both for the ACS dinner/after-party and to celebrate with my brother. I can't say how happy you all made me! YOU ROCK!

Here's what I wore during the day on Friday while running around in preparation for the night/weekend...

Bag - Stylist Pick, Boots - Nine West
Sweater - Debenhams,  Denim Jacket - Newlook

I spent Saturday with the girls just hanging out and being silly having fun.
It felt so good to just let go and relax!

We had lunch at Red Hot where we got christmas crackers with paper crowns and other toys in them (were they expecting us?).

My hoodie wasn't bought in a store. It's my dance hoodie from when I was a member of Flex FX while in London. They are an awesome hip hop/ bollywood dance crew. Check them out on youtube.

Kumbi, Tayo, Oyinda
After a short walk in town, we all tied ourselves up with scarves and other relevant components and headed to the bay to play some more. It's safe to say we all had a fantastic weekend!

Sugar Rush

I bought those cupcakes (from Swirls Cupcakes) for the first time on my brother's birthday last Friday and I must say, they are FANTASTIC!
Speaking of fantastic, my weekend was that and a half! I always say I do not have any 'normal friends' (I am aware that says a lot about my sanity too) but I can not stress enough how awesome they all are! No matter how they are combined, the result is always the same- tons of laughs! I will continue this rant in another post.
Here's what I wore to party hard with my darling brother and friends on Friday night (also the ACS after-party).

Blazer- Cutie, Legings- Zara

The shoes I wore - Carvela (Kurt Geiger).

Rep your country!

The 'Rep your country' Christmas dinner was another fun night out for the ACS. A lovely meal at a lovely restaurant with lovely people, and the after-party was fiyah! I just realised I didn't take any proper photos of my dress that I stayed up all night sewing altering. I bought the dress from a store but re-did the top part in order to rep ankara my country. Interestingly enough, I wasn't the only one who felt the need to make or alter something for the night.

Everyone looked beautiful that night and even though I might not comment on the photos, they are up because I think so. :)

Talk about talent: Kumbi's dress is of the same breed as mine. ;)

Fiona (middle) rocking Rhian Jack :)
Another self-made dress by Chez. Love it!

I am in love with the fabric, colour and length of Daima's dress! (middle).

Silvia's head wrap was on point!
